"Passing the dutchie from coast to coast
Let the man Gary Wilson rock the most". - Beck ("Where It's At")

Since his  1977 self-released classic You Think You Really Know Me, Gary Wilson  has spent a lifetime building  a fervent underground audience around the world. Esteemed artists Beck, Questlove, Earl Sweatshirt, Peanut Butter Wolf, Tyler the Creator, the Residents, Foxygen, Dam Funk, Black Lips, and Ariel Pink have all cited Gary Wilson as a like-minded creative force or source of inspiration. In the summer of 2013, Gary was included in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's exhibition entitled PUNK:Chaos to Couture, and in recent years the DIY home recording legend has graced the pages of the New York Times and the New Yorker. While Gary could easily and justifiably rest on his proverbial laurels, he continues to perform internationally, release rare material from his back catalog, and diligently compose, record, and release new music.

Gary recently released a Christmas album on Cleopatra Records, and a collaborative album with R. Stevie Moore, which features appearances by Jad Fair, Jason Falkner, Jimmy Whispers, Diane Coffee, Pall Jenkins, and more will be released in 2018.
