Maraschino Shares New Single "Smoke and Mirrors"
Piper Durabo solo project Maraschino shared a long-awaited brand new fall 2022 single “Smoke and Mirrors” today, and the release coincides with her birthday, giving additional reason to celebrate. Piper Durabo is a name familiar to many who have explored the WMF universe in the past, thanks her involvement in sibling duo Puro Instinct and collaborations with Franco Falsini, among others.
The “Smoke and Mirrors” press release shares the following: “‘Smoke & Mirrors’ is a glimpse at life in a techno-feudal La La Land where everyone’s a star, the whole world’s a stage, and the plot is lost. It’s a funhouse full of dopamine dependent seekers, lost in reflections of their ‘best’ selves and trapped in an infinity mirror of banality and artifice.”
Eager to get additional insights from Piper about recent and upcoming Maraschino activity, we asked for exclusive supplementary details. Piper confirmed she’s been spending her creative time “working on my next album and some fun collabs,” and added that “inn a lot of ways, it’s business as usual for me. Staying free, staying alive, and then maintaining a healthy level of inspiration to do both!”
