RECAP: The Alex Cameron Live Set in Highland Park Was One for the History Books
The Alex Cameron set in Highland Park on Saturday, November 5 was nothing short of revelatory. Although we’ve admired the work of Alex Cameron for years from afar, this past weekend’s daytime show (presented by the Lodge Room in honor of the L.A. venue’s fifth anniversary) was the first time we were fortunate enough to see him perform live. Additionally, we jumped at the opportunity to snap a few Polaroids of Alex and (of course) his “business partner” Roy Molloy.
The material (both older and newer) and performance were deftly delivered via a full and formidable band consisting of Roy Molloy, Henri Lindström, Justin Nijssen, Jess Parsons, and Kramer Kelling. The combined effect of Alex Cameron and his stellar band was a profound musical experience we won’t soon forget, not that we have to worry about it with so much on the Alex Cameron horizon.
