XVIDEO99 ( X视频99 ) to Debut at L.A.’s Moroccan Lounge
Lydia Ren and Braedon Speakman are debuting their new music project XVIDEO99 ( X视频99 ) on Friday, March 22 at The Moroccan Lounge. We’ve admired Lydia’s multi-faceted work and live event curation for some time now, so we were especially excited when she recently let us know that her creative umbrella will now also cover music. When we asked offline about the general vibe of the project, Lydia shared that she didn’t know if it fit a particular genre, but we know her work and creative spirit well enough to enthusiastically expect the unexpected with XVIDEO99.
Lydia also shared the following context for the new project exclusively with WMF:
“Our band name is Xvideo99 [and] it's a music project me and my friend Braedon Speakman have been working on for the past year. We will probably release our first song just before the show, and this is pretty much our first show.
It's my first time dabbling in music! I've worked with many other different mediums of art but music is a brand new format for me and I'm excited. Braedon comes from more of a music background. He is a composer for films and commercials. “
