BAGGY GRL Reflects on the Path to Debut EP “demands & occult science"
BAGGY GRL recently caught our attention with irresistible track “outfits” from debut and self-produced EP “demands & cult science”. Not having much insight into what led to the EP’s release and background to the project in general —outside of a couple offline conversations with Yaz— we asked her if she would be willing to provide us with some new and exclusive thoughts about the BAGGY GRL and “demands & cult science” journey thus far. She graciously obliged, and we’re excited to share those reflections with you here.
BAGGY GRL gave us these exclusive insights into her debut EP:
“demands & occult science” is my first self produced project as BAGGY GRL. It was made in my studio apartment. After meandering through various scenes/living a few different lives in LA, my frustrations (regarding disheartening practices of the entertainment industry and life’s mundane misalignments) compounded. I decided to take matters into my own hands to complete a debut project on my own. It only scratches the surface of my creative desires. I leave the interpretation of its nuances to you.”
