Ultraflex Share New Single and Video "Under the Spell" Ahead of Sophomore Album Infinite Wellness

Icelandic-Norwegian power pair Ultraflex has shared new single and video “Under the Spell”, available now on all platforms via Street Pulse. WMF has a well-established track record of appreciating the work of both Special-K and Farao (Katrín Helga Andrésdóttir and Kari Jahnsen, respectively) since Ultraflex debut single “Olympic Sweat” in 2020, and were delighted to document an in-depth interview with them a couple years ago. More recently, Ultraflex shared single “Mi Vuoi” (feat. Kuntessa) in July, and based on the five singles and videos we’ve seen so far from this current cycle, we’re confident the sophomore Ultraflex album Infinite Wellness (out October 7, 2022) is going to go down as one of the year’s strongest full-length releases here in our corner of the universe.

Ultraflex describes “Under The Spell” as “an anthem about breaking out of self-pity by putting on a banger and dancing in front of the mirror, spilling red wine all over yourself. It’s an electro inspired tune with the beat and bass hinting towards Charlie’s ‘Spacer Woman’ or IMS’s ‘Dancing Therapy’”.

The accompanying video had us giggling here at WMF HQ from the start, and immediacy rewatching. Jóhanna Rakel directed the aforementioned giggle-inducing video, and also also stars as “the mystical partygoer Yvonne Winona”.
