VIDEO PREMIERE: Ultraflex Pairs Puppets and Disco Pop In Fantastic New Video "Man U Sheets"
We are excited to premiere “Man U Sheets”, the latest video from Icelandic-Norwegian producer-duo Ultraflex. We’ve enjoyed a stellar series of videos and singles from Kari Jahnsen and Katrín Helga Andrésdóttir (who also work as Farao and Special-K, respectively) since we first spoke with them back in 2020, and “Man U Sheets” only reinforces our conviction that Ultraflex is one of the most fun, prolific, and exciting artists out there. The talented twosome assume puppet form in the “Man U Sheets” video, which deftly complements the duo’s characteristically atmospheric synth pop.
The “Man U Sheets” video is a collaboration with Icelandic artist Rakel Andrésdóttir, who shared with WMF that it “is based in a 2000s teen’s bedroom, [and] the Ultraflex puppet babes sing about first times on Man U sheets."
Ultraflex added, “we wanted to capture the slightly dingy mood of a teenage boy's bedroom from the time we were teenagers ourselves. The Mountain Dew, the weights, the stereo they got as a confirmation present from their parents, etc."
Sigurður Möller Sívertsen ably executed cinematography for the video, which was produced by Ultraflex with support from Myndstef.
Debut Ultraflex album Visions of Ultraflex is available on Street Pulse Records
